This is what Seabee Automated Technologies (“SAT”, “we”) collects when you use seabee.io, why, and who sees it. It’s short because there isn’t much to say: we collect what we need to run the site and fulfil orders, and we don’t sell any of it.
What we collect
- Enquiries: the name, email, and message you send through our forms.
- Orders: your name, email, shipping address, what you bought, and the amounts. Card details go directly to Stripe and never reach our servers.
- Accounts: if you create one, your email, a hashed password, your name, optionally a phone number, and your order history.
- Technical: standard server logs (IP address, browser, pages requested) for security and to keep the site working. No advertising trackers.
Why
To answer your enquiry, process and ship your order, send the emails an order needs, let you sign in and see your orders, calculate sales tax where required, and prevent fraud.
Who we share it with
Only the services that do the work, and only what each needs:
- Stripe processes payments and calculates sales tax: name, email, addresses, amounts.
- EasyPost and the carriers (USPS, FedEx, UPS): name and shipping address, to verify the address and deliver the parcel.
- Fulfilment partners who make and pack our products: name, shipping address, and what to pack — never your email, payment details, or what you paid. Parcels ship under SAT’s name.
- Resend delivers our emails: your email address and the email content.
- Supabase and Netlify host our database and website.
- Intuit QuickBooks receives transaction records for our accounting.
We do not sell personal information and do not share it for advertising. We will disclose information if legally required to.
How long we keep it
Order records are kept as long as tax and accounting rules require, typically seven years. Account data is kept until you ask us to delete the account. Enquiries are kept as long as the conversation is useful.
Your choices
See your orders any time at seabee.io/orders or in your account. To correct, export, or delete your information, or close your account, email contact@seabee.io from the address on file. Records tied to a completed sale may be retained where the law requires.
Cookies
Cookies are used only to keep you signed in and to remember your theme. Your cart lives in your own browser. No third-party advertising or analytics cookies.
Children
The shop is not intended for anyone under 18 and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes
If this policy changes materially we update the date at the top and, for account holders, email you.
